This page is maintained by the Ninja-AC app owner to explain what data the Ninja-AC mobile and web app ("Ninja-AC") collects and how it is used. Ninja-AC is an independent, unofficial controller for Toshiba Home AC units and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Toshiba.

Data we collect

Account email — used to sign in and identify your account.
Toshiba account credentials — username/email and password for the Toshiba Home AC cloud service. Stored encrypted at rest and used only to log in to Toshiba on your behalf so the app can read and control your units.
Device data — the AC units linked to your Toshiba account, their current state (power, mode, temperature, fan), and any schedules or scenes you create.
Preferences — timezone and temperature unit (°C/°F).
Approximate location — only when you allow it, used to fetch local outdoor weather from Open-Meteo. Coordinates are not stored.

How we use data

Data is used solely to operate the app: authenticate you, talk to the Toshiba cloud to read/control your units, run schedules at the right local time, and display outdoor weather. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

Third-party services

Toshiba Home AC Cloud — required to control your units.
Supabase — database, authentication, and serverless backend.
Open-Meteo — outdoor weather lookup.
Google — if you sign in with Google.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your stored Toshiba credentials, devices, schedules, scenes, and profile. Backups are purged within 30 days.
